We aim to promote excellence in landscape design, by offering our core services (contract and private landscaping, maintenance contracting and tree management) encapsulated within a strong creative vision and project management methodology.

Based near Preston on the M6 corridor, we are strategically placed to offer efficient logistics and competitive contract tenders throughout the North West of England.

About us

GSU offers a full-service garden design. Managing high volume contract projects for some of the UK’s leading development and construction companies.

Started Trading – 1995!

A car and trailer doing bits of private garden maintenance

1999

Moved into our first yard at Midge Hall, Leyland. We also gained our first house builders contract for Beazer homes. Our fleet grew to 7 vehicles

2003

Purchased a second yard in Cumbria, Papcastle depot. Employed a further eight full-time staff out of this yard furthering our grounds maintenance, landscaping and fencing.

2006

Our first acquisition, David Berry Landscapes yard and Business.
This, in turn, doubled our business overnight from 25 staff to 50.

2006 – 2015

Obtained significant contracts with all of the major house builders who have proven to be our core business.

2016

Designed a purpose-built office space to house the growing business with a keen eye on sustainability.

2018

Employ 60 full-time staff. 26 vans, 2 x 32-tonne wagons a myriad of maintenance machinery – Ride on mowers, tractors, forklifts, mowers strimmers etc. Continued support for all the Major House Builders

Continuous investment in the latest landscaping technology and our own fleet of service vehicles has seen our skill set expand from carrying out small private landscaping projects to multi-million-pound maintenance contracts
